The angels were busy on the first Christmas. After Jesus had been born, a whole choir’s-worth of angels appeared in those fields outside Bethlehem. And here’s what they said:
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” (Luke 2:14)
“On earth peace.” This is Christmas – the message of the first Christmas and the reason for the first Christmas…The wall between you and God will be torn down by his forgiveness if you ask for it. And that’s what will enable you to start to dismantle the other walls in life, helped by God’s Spirit working in you, as you say:
“I’m sorry, I was wrong – please forgive me.”“That’s OK. I forgive you.”
This Christmas, will you ask God to take down the wall in your heart, so that you can take down the walls in your life?
