Billy King is on our ministry team and he has a heart to see the true Gospel of Jesus proclaimed in Latin America. So far, 1,250 people have received evangelism training (350 of them being pastors). During Billy’s most recent trip, he visited Uruguay and Chile.

Uruguay

Uruguay is the most secular country in South America with a population of 3.4 million people. According to Operation World, “Catholicism may lay claim to 55% of the population, but only 2.3% attend Mass.” Evangelicals are a tiny percentage of the population.

Thirty people attended the Christianity Explored training conference. Each participant was also given a recently translated Christianity Explored study guide and flash drive containing the teaching films. This was the first showing of the Spanish translation of the films. We pray that these thirty people will be used to spread the Gospel in Uruguay!

Chile

While in Chile, Billy had the opportunity to pray in two churches and lead an evangelism conference featuring Christianity Explored. There were 130 people who attended the evangelism conference and most were pastors from a multitude of denominations, including Anglican, Baptist, Presbyterian, and Pentecostal.
