Did you know that Christianity Explored partners with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to provide an online coached version of the Christianity Explored course? Participants go through the course alongside a one-on-one mentor who walks alongside them as they go through the course.
This online version of Christianity Explored has reached thousands across the globe. Last year, Cristiasnismo Explorado launched, making the course available to Spanish speakers around the world. We’re excited to see how this partnership continues to spread the Gospel around the world.
Here are some of the testimonies from participants on the course…
When asked how grace has been a difference in her view of God, this woman from Peru said, “I see God as a loving person now and not like a ‘punisher’ or that he is waiting for me to do something wrong so that he can do away with me.”
At the end of the course she greatly thanked her coach and said, “This course has helped me to dispel a lot of doubts that I had. Doing this course and giving yourself over to serve God is fulfilling the Great Commission. Thank you so much.”
A student coming from a Catholic background in the Philippines said this about how her understanding of grace changed. “Before, I thought we have to do good things to receive good things, to be rewarded, and for us to inherit eternal life and if we do bad things, we’ll be punished and go to hell. I’m so happy, I’m learning a lot from here. Grace is a gift from God. It cannot be earned nor to be boasted about but humbly accepted.”
She thanked her coach and said, “The lessons that you’re teaching are starting to sink in. Every time I open the course, tears start to come out of my eyes. I’m starting to realize how we need Jesus in our lives and how Jesus truly loves us.”
One student from the US decided to receive Jesus as his Savior and messaged his coach, “After thought, I want to take the plunge of accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I’m going to start reading the Bible and my next step is to check out a church.”
Moments later he said, “I just prayed to Jesus and I admitted I have sinned and asked for forgiveness. Jesus is perfect and died on the cross for our sins. Jesus is the boss and I plan to obey his laws. Looking forward to working with you and learning about Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.”
Finally, this student from Lebanon, who through studying the parable of the four soils, beautifully confessed Jesus: “The soil that describes me before was a rocky soil. But when I know Jesus and accept Him as my personal savior, I become a good soil because I hear the message (word of God) .”
Later she said, “Because of Jesus my sin is forgiven. So I will ask forgiveness for all the sin I’ve done in my life and be thankful to Jesus for shedding His blood for my sin. Also I need to repent and do what is right, leaving my past and being born again in the Spirit.”
In closing, she describes how the Gospel of Mark grounded her understanding of Christ, “For me even I didn’t see Jesus in personal way. Now I believe that Jesus is a Christ and Son of a living God. Based on what the Gospel of Mark described about Jesus, I am more convinced that Jesus is Messiah.”
